Hemostimulating properties of fir cell juice

Studies of hemostimulating properties of Siberian fir cell juice were carried out in Tomsk on the basis of two children polyclinics with the participation of preschool children. Under the influence of cell juice, there was a reliable increase in the blood hemoglobin level, an increase of the level of serum iron and blood serum ferritin, improvement of indicators of white blood cells.

Clinical symptoms of iron-deficiency anemia – tearfulness, irritability, fatigue, poor sleep and appetite – decreased. Clinical studies of the influence of cell juice (extract) of Siberian firs were carried out in Children Polyclinic No. 1 in Tomsk on the basis of kindergartens. Analysis of average indicators of hemoglobin in kindergartens showed that the results before the administration of the fir extract were not beyond the norm of 120-140 g/l. However, after three courses of administration of the fir extract, the average content of hemoglobin in children increased and started to approach the upper limit of the norm (1 course was 0.5 ml 1-2 times a day within a month).

In addition, if we consider each child separately, in nearly all kindergartens there were cases of borderline state, when the level of hemoglobin was lower than 120 g/l, as well as cases of anemia, when the level of hemoglobin dropped below 110 g/l before the health improvement with the fir extract. After taking the fir extract, the level of hemoglobin increased above 120 g/l in nearly all children and started to correspond to normal values.

One of the indicators of such state is a reduced number of leukocytes. Results of the laboratory examination in kindergartens showed that there were up to 20% of children with the reduced content of leukocytes, their number was 2-3 g/l with the lower limit of the norm of 4 g/l. After a health-improving course administration of the fir extract, there was a significant improvement of indicators of white blood cells. Another examination showed that leukopenia was only observed in 1.5% of children. One more study was conducted on the basis of Children City Hospital No. 2 and Children Polyclinic No. 2 in Tomsk. The study involved 20 children with mild iron-deficiency anemia. Children underwent a course of oral administration of the Siberian fir extract in the dose of 20 drops (1 ml) diluted in 100 ml of drinking water 2 times a day before noon 20 minutes before a meal. While taking the fir extract, the children did not receive therapy with iron preparations.

After 30 days of administration of the fir extract, the content of hemoglobin in children reliably increased by 17%, the color index increased by 0.08, there was an increase in the number of reticulocytes, morphological changes of cells in the peripheral blood smear normalized (anisocytosis, poikilocytosis). After taking the extract, the children had a reliable increase in the level of serum iron and blood serum ferritin, which characterizes the restoration of the transport and repository iron fund. The application of Siberian fir extract provided the regress of clinical symptoms of iron deficiency anemia in children in a short time: their sleep normalized, appetite improved, fatigue, lethargy, moodiness and tearfulness decreased, and the frequency and severity of dyspeptic disorders decreased.
