ANTYHYPOXIC EFFECT OF CELL JUICE OF FIRST
The pre-clinical study of the antihypoxic effect of cell juice of the Siberian fir was conducted in the Research Institute of Hygiene (Novosibirsk) in laboratory mice.
Under conditions of oxygen deficiency in mice, the introduction of the extract increased the life time to 32% compared with the control group receiving
water. The hypoxic exposure caused a stress reaction, as in immobilization stress. The water extract protected internal organs, restored the content of
white blood cells that was reduced against the background of hypoxic stress, cells of bone marrow, spleen, and thymus.
ANTIOXIDANT PROPERTIES OF CELL JUICE OF FIRS
Studies of the antioxidant properties of cell juice of firs were conducted with the participation of children from the radiation-tainted areas of Tomsk Oblast, as well as children with the attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder. The results of the studies reliably confirmed the reduction of the level of toxic products and the increase of catalase activity against the background of administration of cell juice.

The antitoxic effect of cell juice of the Siberian fir was studied in the laboratory conditions in the Research Institute of Hygiene (Novosibirsk). Against the background of poisoning of mice with ethanol, potassium chloride and sodium nitroprusside, a significant reduction of toxic effect of the above agents was revealed in experimental animals which were introduced the fir extract. The introduction increased the percentage of surviving animals when intoxicating them with the above listed agents in lethal doses.

A preclinical study of anaesthetic properties of cell juice of the Siberian fir was conducted at the Research Institute of Hygiene in Novosibirsk.
The introduction of the fir extract to mice makes the time of their stay on the hot plate more than 2 times longer. When the 0,75% solution
of acetic acid is injected intraperitoneally to animals, the fir extract makes the number of pain cramps 2.8 times lower and the time till
the first cramps 2 times longer.
POLYPRENOLS AND CHRONIC ALCOHOLISM
Clinical study.
Patients suffering with alcoholism of stage 2 took part in the study. After 30 days of treatment with polyprenols in combination with the
infusion detoxication, 10% of patients recovered completely, 80.6% passed from the severe stage of the disease to a lighter one. The effect
of the treatment already started on the 15th day, on average. As a result it was found that the inclusion of polyprenols in the course of
treatment of alcoholism leads to a rapid regress of the abstinence syndrome, reduction of depression and polyneuropathic disorders.
Polyprenols are well tolerated and do not cause side effects.
POLYPRENOLS IN TREATING ALCOHOLIC AND NARCOTIC INTOXICATION
Clinical study.
The study was conducted with the participation of 60 people with alcoholic and narcotic intoxication complicated by hepatitides and HIV
infection. Half of the test subjects took the traditional basic therapy, the other half was given polyprenols. Polyprenols showed their
effectiveness on the 15th day of therapy already, with the process of recovery from the abstinence syndrome was 3-7 days only. Normalization
of all indicators of blood and urine was faster than that of the group taking the basic therapy. In addition, in the therapy of polyprenols,
a significant improvement of the function of the central nervous system was noted.
POLYPRENOLS IN THE TREATMENT OF CHRONIC ALCOHOLISM
Clinical study
90 patients suffering from chronic alcoholism took part in the study. 60 of them received polyprenols, and the other 30 underwent a course
of basic therapy. After 30 days of treatment, 66% of patients taking polyprenols had a significant positive dynamics that manifested itself
in the improvement of the brain functions. These changes were recorded using electroencephalography. Patients with the basic therapy had
improvement only in 23% of cases and were insignificant.
ANTI-INFLAMMATORY EFFECT OF FIR CELL JUICE
The experimental research of the effect of cell juice of the Siberian fir on inflammatory processes was carried out in laboratory conditions in the Research Institute of Hygiene in Novosibirsk. Acute inflammation in experimental animal was modelled by introducing carrageenin. In animals, which were previously introduced the fir extract, the inflammatory edema was 2 times less than that of the control animals which were not introduced the fir extract. The content of white blood cells also restored, that was increased against the background of the inflammation. The preparation exerted a protective effect on the internal organs exposed to inflammatory stress.
